Join us at our home just 4km south of Alghero off the coastal road to Bosa. The setting is idyllic in the midst of a 300 tree olive grove. We have renovated our house with full respect of the norms of eco-architecture: solar panels for hot water, a wood buring stove for heating, limestone plaster and organic non-toxic paint on the walls, terracotta and wooden floors.
On the surrounding land we are doing a bit of organic farming: we have apple, pear, plum, pomegranate, fig, mulberry, lemon and orange trees. We eat what our land produces and have salad, cabbage, cauliflower, artichokes during the cooler months and juicy tomatoes, egg plant, zucchini, cucumbers in the summer.
You will be able to sample the fruits of our labours during breakfast on the veranda and you can buy some of our organic olive oil to take home with you.
Compared to the more developed coastline north of Alghero, here the countryside and its coast are almost uncontaminated. Even in the summer time there is little traffic.
We have one guest bedroom with a separate entrance where you will be guaranteed privacy. The room is essential with a large double bed and en suite bathroom with shower. There is lots of outside space and you have your own private sitting area overlooking the sea.
We serve a delicious breakfast with toasted bread, organic marmelades and honey, fresh seasonal organic fruit, coffee, cappuccino, tea or juices. The setting on the veranda is memorable as the warm Sardinian sun embraces you and wishes you a "buon giorno".
The latest addition to the family is one rooster and 20 hens!
We frequently host people that work with us in exchange for room and board, so make sure you drop us a note to see if our room is free.
