GETTING TO SARDINIA

BY PLANE

Alghero's airport is just 10 minutes from town. There are busses from the airport to town every hour. Ryan Air flies directly from many European and Italian cities. There are also several daily flights from Milan and Rome with Alitalia.

BY Ferry

 There are ferry boats from mainland Italy to the ports of Porto Torres, Olbia, Golfo Aranci and Cagliari.

 

Getting around

If you want to be flexible, it's best to rent a car. There are trains and busses to the nearby Sassari from where you can catch connections to other places on the island.
