About Alghero

Sardinia is special: the climate, the landscape, the food, the history, the people. Situated on the northwest 'Coral Riviera' of Sardinia, Alghero is the perfect place to experience all of these things.

Lazzaretto Beach White-sanded beaches and quiet bays with clear waters reflecting the emerald pine forests.

Boat trips around the coastline and grottos, fishing, diving, sailing and other water sports.

Neolithic settlements.

With its strong Catalan influence and gothic architecture, Alghero is the most charming town in Sardinia.

Alghero airport is a 15 minute drive from the town. There are regular buses from the airport to town.

Car hire is available at the airport and in town and you can also rent mopeds and bicycles in Alghero.

It is easy to get from Alghero to beautiful beaches on foot or by local bus.

Once you are here we'll be on hand to give you any help or advice on where to go and how to get there, the best bars, where to eat, where to shop, etc.

Alghero links

We recommend Pintadera (http://www.pintadera.info) for Italian language and culture courses. Pintadera takes language out of the classroom and onto the streets of Alghero. Why not try 'AllegraMente': a special late afternoon course for a more fulfilling holiday.
